THE COMPARISON
The waterfront apartment or the extra bedroom?
The right answer starts with how you will use the property.
Define the non-negotiables
List the requirements that change everyday life: bedrooms, commute, outdoor space and your total budget. Separate these from features you would enjoy but can trade.
Compare the full cost
A similar purchase price can hide different service charges, furnishing requirements and maintenance obligations. Ask for unit-level information.
Experience the location
Walk both neighbourhoods at the times you would use them. Visit the actual building when possible; a map cannot show noise, access or the quality of common areas.
Build a useful shortlist
Compare two options that meet your essentials and one alternative that challenges your first preference. Keep the rationale visible as you decide.
